Promptu Finds a Quick $5.6M Funding

MENLO PARK, CA -- Promptu announced the closing of an additional $5.6 million round of funding from existing investors.

The company develops software that allows mobile phone users to push a button and use voice commands to locate and purchase items from their cell phone.  Also, the service can be used for location-based services via mobile carriers.

Funds will be used to expand business partnerships and continue development of the system.  Investors were Steelpoint Capital, Lauder Partners and other private investors.
